....Jim Croce? He had a great way of telling stories, often times inspired by true life events and not just rubbish. He also sounded just as good live as he did on the cassette tape (yeah I went there!) I highly doubt there was much audo tuning going on. His life was cut too short.

James Taylor just released a great new album and I will be seeing him in concert next month when he plays at Klipsch. There are still a few good ones out there.

Didn't Jim Croce turn Muslim or something?? I've still got 8 tracks of his that I would go to sleep to back in the 70's.
JT also has a great voice and plays some awesome strings while singing however his politics leave a lot to be desired...

Yes Jim did. But, still liked his music and it didn't reflect on his religious beliefs.

Funny how the memories flood back with a topic like this! In my preteen years, as I was taking guitar lessons, I had a dream to one day play like Mason Williams. I practiced til wee hours of the morning until my fingers were numb. I never came close to Williams...so when I got my 1st Harley, I named and plated her..."CLASSICAL GAS!!!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vXtywOlaycThat's as close as I would ever come biggrin2
