Power line company came out and marked the trees today. Not a problem he says. Do it all the time. Will not cut until August though because of nesting birds. Thanks for the advice. This ol body sure wasn't going to be able to shimmy up that tree.

This was an excellent suggestion! I think I have one that needs a little trimming.

Hey so will that log splitter be for sale real cheap later in august No, we heat with nothing but wood. It'll get it's use. We put in a wood furnace in the garage last year. We paid right at $1300 for it. My father-in-law installed it ourselves. Used the absolute best equipment we could buy. Made sure to follow code and went above and beyond in several places. I think we spent another right around $1000 in parts. Our electric bill was right at $500 a month. The first bill that we received after we had been running it for a full month was a little under $200. The furnace and material will pay for itself this year. The splitter is already paid for, traded tree cutting for it. One of the best home improvement project I've ever done. I have enough wood at the farm I hunt to last me the next 50 years.

This was an excellent suggestion! I think I have one that needs a little trimming. What the electric company told me was if the aren't effecting the lines they won't trim it. If they were to be cut down and could fall into the lines then they will drop the tree. No trimming, not cutting. Just drop the tree.

It's not too big, not sure that it would cause much problem even thought the line goes through it. ...better them than me. Will they leave the wood nicely cut usable ricks?

No. It's cut in 4 to 6 foot logs, or whatever they can handle and it is just dropped on the ground for you to clean up. Still better than dropping one on the lines.

Still better than dropping one on the lines. That's pretty good. I figured there would be a tree laying on my grass.
