I don't know anyone who owns one gun.

Wonder how accurate that study really is? Who was asked how were they contacted, what questions were asked? Was it a legitimate sampling. If US News called me I don't think I'd very very interested in talking to them.

My thoughts, based on the last paragraph:
About 34,000 Americans died in 2013 as a result of gun-related violence, the study authors said. In January 2014, a study reported in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine found that people with access to a gun are three times more likely to die by suicide and almost twice as likely to be the victim of a homicide as people without such access.
The first sentence isn't cited, only "said by the authors". The suicide/homicide part is misleading as well, it doesn't say a gun was used in the suicide or homicide. And what does "access" mean? Doesn't every legal, law-abiding citizen in the US have "access" to a gun? Typical media fact twisting to get the effect the want.
