How do I sight a bow in? I have a used bow I put a new string on it and it had some try glo fiber optic pin sights when I got it but I turned them around because whoever put them on just slapped them on if it matters I am left handed

How many pins does the sight have? That will help recommend distances to sight it in at.

I'd go 20, 30 & 40. Just remember to follow your arrow; if it is low & left, adjust you sight down and to the left.

Start close...say 10 yards to make sure you are on target. Adjust there them move back to 20.. Shoot and readjust if necessary. It shouldn't take much adjustment from 10 to 20.
Good luck and DBD870 and some others on here can answer any archery shooting questions..

I'm going to get my hay bales set up for some shooting in the next couple of day and try to get some shooting done but it has only been nice out when I'm stuck at work usually

Find center of the limb pockets from the back side of the riser and hold the bow out so that the string is at the center of the limb pockets. Move your pins out so that they are just even with the string as you are holding the bow out at arms length trying to get the centerline of the bow all aligned (string, limb pockets, arrow rest, and pins). That should get you pretty close for a 10 yard shot as far as left and right goes. Then adjust as needed.

Yes, for starters get the rest set side to side so that a nocked arrow falls in line with the string (at the same time the strin is lined up with centers of the limbs. Then set pins side to side so they also fall in line with the string. All pins should be the same length and should form a vertical line. Then set your first pin at 10 yds. Point the bow and have someone else look at you from the side to make sure you'll hit the target. Adjust from there.
Once you get shooting a bit, you may notice that as you move further back from the target, your arrows consistently hit to the right (or to the left). Adjust your rest to fix this, not the pins. Move the rest in very small increments, like 1/32" to cure the issue. once all arrows fall in a vertical line as you step back from the target, readjust your pins to hit your point of aim.
