That looks more like an Eastern water mouthed cotton moccasin sidewinder rattle snake to me You are getting rusty...everyone knows this was the northern variety. Duh

Now that is an interesting photo duff, thanks for posting that. Really have to wonder if the rattler was intending on snacking on the copper head. WW the roadrunner video was awesome, never knew that about the roadrunner.

I have seen a fair amount of copperheads and I also saw a timber rattler while driving through Brown County State Park many years ago. He was a big fella just laying in the middle of the road sunning.
