This is basically how I do it circles get smaller and then boom wait to long and you'll get sloppy this holds true for me no matter the shooting position and no matter the distance the longer I wait to pull that trigger the further off my shot placement will be

I always use some kind of support standing or sitting; never been in a situation where I could find some kind of support. I believe in giving myself the best chance to make a good shot and offhand unsupported is never that, no matter how much you practice. We owe that to the animal as well.

I feel that the better you become at offhand shooting the better you should become anywhere else it does help you learn to control your breathing better but, that said I will almost always look for and use a support if I'm not out in a pasture hunting or in a field
