Just got done reading the regulations on this. I'd say if Lawrence and Washington county don't drop out of the late doe season category this year than you'll see them pick up this designation next year.

Contrary to some beliefs the DNR is still serious about herd reductions in "strategic areas" that has been their plan all along. My personal opinion is they are recieving guff about "bonus permits" (which they are dropping steadily the last three years) as being the number one reason for less deer being sighted. I still say the EHD and coyotes wiped out more deer in 2012 than the deer hunters did.. .......Also Automobile, poaching, and habitat loss takes a toll on the Deer population.

Looks like a deer gun hunter will be able to kill two bucks in the "deer reduction zones".
From the DNR

Well. I just saw the map and my areas are not in the proposed deer reduction zone. It's much smaller than our urban zone.

Well. I just saw the map and my areas are not in the proposed deer reduction zone. It's much smaller than our urban zone. Have all the maps been released. All I saw was the one in Tippecanoe county.

Map is subject to change. ALOT different than before. Seems to be more "urban"now than years before.
