Pondering... a good question
I've been thinking about all that is going on these days.
Question: If I shoot a buck this coming season and I only have a doe tag, can I claim that the buck really wasn't a buck?
Maybe he had always wanted to be a doe, but through no choice of his own he was born with the physical attributes of a male. Yet on the inside he had always known he was truly female!
I'm just wondering if the game warden will buy it. (?)
Lord knows, our society does! !!!!

It just might be a trannie doe, undergoing hormonal therapy to grow those antlers?!?!

LOL
I never thought that I would make a good cop. I'm still very naive to be so old. I just want to believe people. Just show him the buck actually tried to castrate himself and it might just work, not.
I'm really excited about this season, and I think it's mostly due to my food plot. I use to love photography, because there were so many different types of it, and as anything, the details can seem endless. I'm very interested to see how staying out of my woods will impact their traffic pattern. Right now they are not crossing though my property very much. They're mostly going between the corn and beans passing along the edge of the property line. This is a change from last year.
If my health holds up, I'll try to be patient and hunt longer this year. I haven't made it past the first day of firearm season. I'd really like to hunt in the snow someday.

Hilarious drs...but sad
Jon, Hunting in the snow is fun. Almost unfair as the deer really stand out if there is a good bit of snow. A xouple yrs back we had a big snow on christmas night and into the next day. Ended up with 8-10 inches. When it stopped I was going stir crazy then remembered it was the bonus antlerless season. I grabbed my muzzleloader and hiked back to the woods. At 200 yrds from the house I saw a deer maybe 100+ yrds from me. I crawled to a clearing, lined up the shot, squeezed, smoke cleared, nothing running can't see anything laying around...must have missed.
I only grabbed a loaded gun no reloading supplies. Walked back, reloaded, and same place I saw another deer. This time I shot and 3 deer bolted. I looked at the trail through my scope looking for blood on the trail. Nothing!
Feeling discouraged I walked down to the fresh tracks for closer look...no blood. I wanted to see the bedding area so I walked into the woods to the spot and on my way I found faint pin drops of blood. Again no reloads...think I would have learned :-) this time I came back with a revolver in 44 mag fully loaded. Found my deer, great shot she only went a 40 yards.
I couldn't believe those deer hung out with me walking in and out shooting. It was fun

That's not a swan, it's a greater snow goose.
