Bought a used Knight Extreme ML last year in .45, that had the bare 209 primer conversion that eliminates the need for the red plastic primer jacket already done. It was LNIB beautiful SST/Laminate stock model.
Bought it form my sons to use as a cheap low recoil deer rifle. Had heard GREAT things about this model ML and was hoping mine would stay true to all the reviews I had read.
After bore sighting and getting on paper at 25yrds and 50yrds, moved to 100 yards. Shot the fallowing load:
<>82 grains by weight of BH-209 <>.40 caliber 200 grain Hornady SST knurled heavily <>Blue Harvester Sabot <>Federal 209 primer
Optics> Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40mm with Warne rings and bases.
Range conditions were VG, cool out in the low 50's low humidity, and wind not a factor.
I took three shots and then looked through my spotter. Mumbled a swear word as I could only see two holes. Walked down to double check and was pleasantly surprised when I saw a nice tiny 3-shot group well under a inch. Since then shooting the above load I have NEVER had a group exceed 1". Using XTP's and Barnes ML bullets I'm still under 1.7".
The only down side to such a deer rifle is it puts my fully rifled slug guns to shame and at pennies per round for the Knight VS $3++ per round for sabot slug ammo, infuriates me.

I had a couple of knights before buying a Savage. All were great guns. Wish I had taken better care of them.
