The pic is not too good, but my brother said this dude was sitting on their deck ledge today. They live on the border of Kingsbury Wildlife Area. Any thoughts on what it might be?

I was thinking like you guys. Just looked up green heron. That does look a lot like it. Didn't even know a green heron existed.

I'd say it's some kind of heron.

I think Metamora got it. See the fuzzy feathers on it's head?

From as I can tell from the photo, it looks like an immature Black Crowned Night Heron. Did it have yellow colored legs?

looks like a yellow-crowned night heron if that is a stripe on top of it's head. Hard to tell, not a very good pic

Night heron gets my vote.
I had a green heron fly by me at about 10 ft the other day. Green herons are actually pretty small. The bird in the pic looks larger, even though it appears to be a juvenile.

It's definitely a type of heron based on the beak shape. Other than that, it's hard to tell because I can't decide if that is fuzz on the top of it's head or an issue with the picture, what color the eyes are or even what the feather coloration is.

Not sure but I'm going with the majority and saying some sort of heron. Looks like it has a case of the crab apple mcnasties though!
