Hi all, Just curious as to if anyone has seen any scrapes yet. I've heard that you can pretty well get it down to the day when the rut starts judging by the first scrape that you see. I've got a couple of other sites I would like to setup my camera in, however didn't know if it was getting to close to do that. Thanks all and god bless.

I start seeing scrapes and also rubs around the middle of October down here in Ky. However, I've seen scrapes and hunted near them and no Bucks showed-up in that spot. Usually, when I see Bucks start moving across my back field, I know that things are about to become active.

The Bucks are usually up looking for Does heavily in late October in southern Indiana and Kentucky. The Rut is strong the first few weeks in November in both states.

Most will probably disagree with me, but I stay away from my hunting areas this time of year. I put my camera out this year on August 1 and pulled it two weeks later before squirrel season. No hanging cams, no hanging stands, no scouting, no trimming shooting lanes or paths, no hiking, and certainly no squirrel hunting. LOL!

Haven't checked for any scrapes yet. I'll be putting my drippers over some old scrapes and some mock scrapes a couple days before the Oct. 1st bow opener. Cameras are out and I still have blinds to set up.
