Just because they call doesn't mean the cops will come. A couple questions by dispatch can save the hassle.
Caller: I see a man with a gun....
Dispatch....is he breaking any laws, threatening anyone?
Caller: ..well, no
Dispatch: ...click....

I kind of wish that would happen to me so I can show the responding officer my permit for carrying one and then watch as the caller is escorted out with new "bracelets". Last time I heard it's basically the same as calling 911 if Pizza Hut put cheese on your pizza and you didn't want it.
