"Tree Stands
Tree stands may be used for hunting deer during all deer hunting seasons. It is illegal to erect or hunt from a permanent tree blind on state-owned or state-leased lands."
My question is, does this apply to Hoosier National Forest? It is not state owned (according to eGIS data). I only ask, because i found a permanent stand while hunting last year (looks to have been put up within the last 5 years or so, wood is still solid and no sign of rot).
I would like to know if it is legal to hunt out of.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has a similar rule stating they are prohibited.
