Back at it. Spitting snow a little. I see no doubt in your motivation! Keep going 10point. My bet is on you to get it done. Your persistence is admirable.

My cousin hunted my parents place tonight and harvested a yearling doe. I wasn't planning on taking another doe off their place, but it's his first ever deer. Been seeing 6 to 8 every night in the foodplot.

I hunted this morning..not a thing in sight. Was nice being out regardless. Pulled trail cams, some does and a few small bucks. Not much movement in daytime hours though. If it weren't for me getting permission on a new farm I would probably hang it up. Really wish I would have gotten this place earlier in the season but it is what it is and now I have something to look forward to next year. May end up trying it out a few times the remainder of what season we have left.

I went to a small parcel tonight that we haven't hunted @ all since opening weekend of gun season. I saw a forkie and a half dozen does and fawns. In the end, I was fortunate to take a big, mature doe.
Made some good memories, and will have plenty of meat to enjoy over the next several months....
All in all...a good season.

The cards from the city property isn't showing much movement. I am hoping this colder weather will help. I just ran our of scent free clothes detergent...hope the deer don't mind the smell of camel lights

Beautiful morning but nothings come to visit yet. Heard a couple of shots so guessing their trees were more appealing. Hopefully one will cross my way soon. Not used to this cold...

Finished up my bundle license last night on 2 does, so I'm done with deer for the year. Looking forward to getting a few squirrels in January. 2016 Bow season starts 9 months from tomorrow

Went to one spot before sunrise to coyote hunt and saw none. I then came home and ran my small snare line that I put out yesterday afternoon. Only catch was a big, fat, short-tailed boar coon. It was not what I expected to catch at all.

Went this morning for the first time since Muzzleloader ended. Took the bow as it's archery season only right now in my county. Seen 4 does, probably the same 4 i seen the last night of Muzzy. Did have a little better activity on my cams finally, especially Tuesday morning after the storm passed. Mostly small bucks, but one was a big 8 that i hadn't seen in a while. He was still nocturnal the small ones were in daylight.

He was still nocturnal, the small ones were in daylight. It's also possible that he is active during the day on another property and doesn't visit your camera site until after dark.

They are teasing me. Saw 0 while hunting but there was a road kill across the road and had to slow down for two crossing the road on my way home.

Took out my buddy from Alaska yesterday for his first deer hunt. This young doe came running in with a young buck chasing her. My buddy was able to get a good shot on her and she didn't go far.

They are teasing me. Saw 0 while hunting but there was a road kill across the road and had to slow down for two crossing the road on my way home. After killing a doe last evening, I was on the way home when three does decided they wanted to cross the road right about the time I was coming through. The first two ran across the road without an issue, the third one almost ran into the side of my car. Luckily all was good and they went on their way and I didn't have my car trashed....

went duck hunting today and saw close to 15 deer in the 20 mile drive to the boat ramp. Figured it would be a great morning.
