greetings As part of my job i hunt any vermin coming out of the forest onto neighbours ground, so this morning it was wet, so i took a target and zeroed the 22lr in at fifty yards with winchester sub sonic ammo, it has a hawke scope on it. 0ut of interest i went onto hawkes brc2 programme and put in the bullet information and got the results.
This afternoon the sun came out and i was ready for a hunt so i went to a friends house who gets rabbits bothering her, there was only one out i ranged it with leitz rangefinder binoculars at ninety yards, it was not hard to remember the programme said a milldot and a little with the scope on ten times magnification, so i put the cz rifle onto standing quad sticks, done what the programme said, sent the bullet and it gave bunny a very bad headache. So on first try the ballistic programme seemed to work.
One bunny for the oven, what a nice change shooting a bunny instead of a deer and no pressure for culls, lol
Anyone with a hawke scope give it a try see if it works for you.
I do have a photo if anyone wants to see a brit bunny, lol regards Billy

I got a Hawke sidewinder on my AR-15 in 17 rem. I also got a Hawke crossbow scope on my parker. Works really good. Their brc2 works pretty good for me.

Hawke 30mm scope on my Excal crossbow. Super clear, precise, graduated reticle, only downfall is the weight. Very heavy, but very happy with mine!

Love my Hawk XB30 on my crossbow. Got mine when Wyvern had a good deal on them. I think it was close to half price.

greetings story to this scope is, my brother worked in a gunshop, and this scope was sold to a customer on a new air rifle. He kept coming back complaining it was doing this it was doing that, i was in the shop the final time he came in with a problem. I could see brother was getting agitated with the customer, all of a sudden brother says ok and went and took a new scope out the cabinet and put it on for him. Once the chap left the shop brother said to me i cant sell that as new, right away i said i will give you twenty pounds for it and take a chance on it. So i got it put it on the rifle and its been no bother at all, just had to zero it this time because my rifle had been away to the gunsmith for a safety check so as i can use it at work. He probably had it out of the stock. I knew the lad just was not leavng the settings alone altering this and that every shot. So for once i had a bit of luck. regards Billy

Billy please explain (rifle to gunshot for safety inspection) Is this mandotory? How much does it cost? What are they looking for? And what happens if the rifle fails. Thanks

greetings onebentarrow It is nothing more tht covering the firms backside. Any rifle or shotgun used on there land must be inspected and past safe to use by a gunsmith of there choice. No handloads allowed either. If the gun fails there is two options, rectify the fault or it is banned from being used on there land. This is not a uk law it is a firms policy so as to appease the uk health and safety executive. We are no longer allowed to use sauer or blazer rifles, they have all been replaced with sako rifles. There was reports of blazer bolts leavng go and getting blown back, so they were banned. Then we had a few accidental disharges with the sauer, i put that down to the safety being in the trigger guard, stupid idea. none of this bothered me because use a tikka t3 in 308. He also checks to see if they are being maintaned and if not he tell on you, lol regards Billy
