I want to use my ground blind to gun hunt from when it's raining. Just wandering where you guys get your orange for your blinds. I have a Doublebull Dark Horse.

I got like 2 yards at walmart and draped it over the top and got some nice metal clips from the hardware store for like a dollar for ten of them

I got four ~12"x12" pieces of cardboard and a can of orange spray paint. I use binder clips to attach the now BRIGHT orange pieces of cardboard to the blind.

Is hunters orange required for yourself and blinds on Private property as well? I use it regardless for safety but didn't know if it was legally required on private property too.

Like I said, I always wear it anyways for my own sake of other peoples stupidity but I was curious as to what the actual law stated (or close to it)

The laws are written for everybody everywhere. The only time you see differences is when certain public properties have stricter rules.

So far I have bought two of the blind caps after season for $5 each. Drape over the top of the portable blind and secure at the corners with binder clips.

There was a guy hunting last sunday behind me that put his ground blind up that had no hunter orange, now it was on private property, but I know he could see mine, but he just sat within 100 yds of me. Oh well, good thing I did not need to shoot behind me at a deer or I would not have seen the blind there. I think it is a good law, I know a lot oopose it, but even on private, you still may get un wanted guest and they may shoot your direction.

Some thing just don't go over very well at first.

I agree, sometimes change is good, I was not in favor of it at first, but now that I have to hunt out of a ground blind, and hunted on public property, I felt pretty safe with me and my son in there, the one I got came with safety pins and liked it, plus you can see where some blind is at so you are not shooting that direction. I think it was a good law to impose . Like I said, public ground is a must, and I know guys do not use it on private, but it could save your live after using the ground blind for the first time.
