You also need to loosen your lug nuts a little in case of a flat tire. That way they won't be frozen to the wheel. There's another one I'm going to have to remember.

Don't forget to grease your brakes so they don't freeze together overnight.

Did you remember to put those deck screws in your treads for ice studs? They save a lot of money vs snow tires

also you need to add antifreeze to your blinker fluid cup. Other wise your turn signal wont turn off. You know the people that have the blinkers on for miles and miles! Frozen blinker fluid!

Just got on all of my upkeep. Changing the halogen in the lights was the last thing I had to do to get everything buttoned up. I'm ready.

Can anyone tell me where the valve is to put the turn signal fluid in? I can't seem to find it anywhere! On an older car with a carburetor, there's a big round thing in the middle of the top of the engine, typically held on with a winged nut. Unscrew that, remove top, and pour it in there. During drivers ed in high school, the instructor had the hood up and asked us what we would do if the car was overheating and we had a garden hose available. One guy said that he'd put the garden hose in the air cleaner opening to run water through the engine to cool it down............. That was my first taste of a book smart person, but hands on stupid. IIRC he ended up being the valedictorian of the class.

Thanks guys that was great advice. I think I may be overdue for a muffler bearing maintenance though, the front of truck got really rattly after the turn signal fluid maintanence. Such a hassle!
