BTW: brown or green socks would have looked good with your choice of clothing. Ha! I'll only give ya one guess! Shouldn't be too hard since I must be the only guy on earth wearing brown socks!

Thanks for everyone and their suggestions! My wife and I followed many of the ideas and we really didn't want to come home! Quite a few pics here that will bring back memories for some of you and might just entice others to make a similar trip. One of my favorite places, which was included with the price of the trolly (which my wife "grouponed" and saved 25%) was the Massie Commons Schoolhouse and Maritime Museum. A great overview: St. John the Baptist Cathedral (after a great lunch at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons): Fort Pulaski still showing damage from cannon fire-the result of advance rifled cannons!: Loved it so much I bought us a new pad! Done shot a few possums and Ma's cookin' up some vittles on her new kitchen. Y'all come on down and visit...(ok, ok, it's actually Wormsloe!) We headed for Columbia SC since we had been told that the State House was one of the best in the country. They let us latch on to a middle school tour and here we are in the House chambers. Simply an amazing place: As we mingled with the lobbyists at the State House I went over and asked one of the "big ole southern lookin' boys" where he might recommend some of the best local BBQ. With a big smile he didn't hesitate to suggest Doc's BBQ and Southern Buffet...especially known for their "Hash on white rice!" Oh yeah! I'll go back just for that!!! Our last stop was to visit my son and his family. Here's 2 of my Grandbabies with their Papaws!!! Once again, Y'all gave some really cool recommendations and I'm ready to go back!
