Congrats on the new truck. I dropped a new trigger into my 10/22, and changed scopes on it. Been out with it a few times to shoot. Love the improvements. Come on Aug. 15th! maddog

Jon I'm glad to see someone is going to be shotgunning besides me,only long gun 22 that I have now is the Golden Boy that I had dedicated to my wife and not hunting with it.When the leaves fall I have a mark three target with scope that I will use, been taking it to the range and can do pretty good out to thirty five yards.

Poor people who feel they need to shotgun poor little squirrels Would it make you feel better to know I switch to rifles once the leaves thin out

Poor people who feel they need to shotgun poor little squirrels Would it make you feel better to know I switch to rifles once the leaves thin out it would make me feel better if I had a single or a sxs or a pump or a over under or an autoloader or a bolt action sixteen or four-ten or even a 20 so I could join the group I only use a rifle because I have one if I had a shotgun suitable I would use it also, sometimes I take my single 12 but I have to make sure and aim at the tree so only a few pellets hit the squirrel

Yep, early season shotguns are nice. With a tight choked 12 it comes down to distance - close up can be a bit destructive!

Buy a used one. I sold a used .22 for $75 with scope, and the fella told me that it didn't pattern well at 100yds. I asked, "What are you going to shoot at 100yds with that .22?" ...kind of picky for a gun that was sold, but ended up free after no payment.
