This is exactly how the 2016 bill started, as well, but got amended down to what we got, currently. We'll see if they can convince the senate, this year.

They HAVE NO BUSINESS in making hunting regulations.

They HAVE NO BUSINESS in making hunting regulations. True, but in this case that cat is already out of the bag.

My .270 is ready whenever they are! Amending it to make more logical sense is the right way to go,and leaving the sunset date is as well. Give the DNR time to decide to keep the "new calibers". I'll keep on saving to buy a .300 blackout though, just in case it doesn't go through!

So does mean the S&W .460 can come out?

The bill has only passed the House Natural Resources Committee. Still has to pass the full House, Senate Natural Resources Committee, and full Senate before it can go to Governor. It could be killed anywhere along the line.
Don't go out and buy that S&W .460 yet

So does mean the S&W .460 can come out? I believe the .460 S&W Magnum is currently legal in both handgun and rifle. Its case length is 1.800 inches and its bullet diameter is considerably greater than .357 inches. stevespages.com/jpg/cd460s&w.jpg

I realize that there's nothing in the works as of now, but does anyone know if Indiana is moving towards allowing HPRs on public ground for deer hunting?
