I was at my property moving rocks by hand and found a ringneck snake. This thing was 4-5 inches long with a orange ring around the neck. If there's such a thing as a cute snake, this was it. My wife even held it. Cool snake for sure

greetings Oh me no like snakes and we only have one venimous one over here. five year ago boss came up and said will you take folk our snake watching, he thought it was funny. i said yes, much to his shock.
On Monday morning i turned up at the office at the alloted time to start this nonesense. He was not amused when i pulled my 410 out of the truck, asking what you doing? reply i aint going playing with snakes without my old 410. never asked me again lol They are protected over here so i was not really going to blast them but it made him think, lol

That DNR map says cottonmouths are found in Indiana. Any idea where?

They are in Martin County as well, at least in limited numbers. It's a shame it's just limited numbers. It would be better if there was no numbers. Other than a hat band. I have no use for them. Never seen one in Martin County in all the years I was there. It I know they live in the State Forrest outside Shoals.
