Had my xbow out today shot about 20 time. 2 things happened. My shots were drifting left. Thinking my scope was moving for some reason. It is the factory scope from a wicked ridge.
Last shot i heard something bounce on my porch. Looked but couldn't find anything. Nothing looks broken or missing but the string is busted and needs replaced...grrr

At least you didn't have any limb damage; that will definitely get your attention. This probably fits the crossbow forum better, but if duff can move it himself if he wants; I'm feeling lazy today!

I get the string changed every other year, regardless of condition. I order one at the Bass Pro Shop archery desk and they call me when it comes in. I take the bow there and it's changed and I'm on my way $30 and 30 minutes later.

Local shop is more expensive and some of their shop guys are hard core verticle bow guys that look down on us xbowers. Burns me up but my options are limited around here.

Just wait, one or more of them will have rotator cuff issues and be forced to a crossbow if they want to continue archery hunting.

I like to support good people and would pay more to buy things from them...but treat me like I am less than you and I will only use you for what I can't get elsewhere and will go out of my way to find that option. Unfortunately a lot of small archery and fire arms shops fall in this category for me.

There is a good chance that Crossbowers will outnumber vertical bowhunters someday then what will they do?

I've been in there a few times and never got that feeling, but I wasn't toting a crossbow either. The times I've been there it was the owner who seemed pretty knowledgeable, and a couple real young guys making bow strings who were still learning how to operate a bow press, etc.

Yes. I must come off like a jerk then...you know me, anything is possible.

I take it back. Must have been a worker I ran into and not the owners. They were real nice today. Expanded shop has lots of indoor shooting too
