When paper tuning, how far from the target should you be?

Good video. I was standing way too far back. 12 yards.... I found another issue with my bow set up. I finally realized my fletchings were hitting my rest which, lead me to discover a error I made installing my rest. I have a QAD ultra rest HDX. 1st mistake was installing the rest too high as per QAD's instructions. 2nd error was having my knocking loop too high causing my arrow to have a downward slant thus causing the fletchings to hit the rest upon release and causing that unsightly "kick" during arrow flight. The remedy, 1st install rest accordingly (lowered it about an 1/8"). 2nd, place a string level on the bow shelf then leveled my bow in the vise. Finally, installed the arrow and placed a second string level on my arrow shaft and adjusted the knocking loop (about 1/4" lower) until both the arrow shaft and bow shelf were level and resecure loop. I know to most of you more experienced archers this fix seems elementary, but I was happy to get it done. Now it's time to try paper tuning and getting it zeroed in.

So I'm still off. Shaft is going into the paper, tearing to the left and fletchings are to the left. So if you're looking at the paper you see fletchings and paper tearing to the right. I tried adjusting my rest to the right until I ran out of adjustments. Not sure what to do now other than go back to the pro shop. I think the timings off.

Should I be sighting the bow in first?

Sighting the bow does not effect the flight. Moving pins make you move the whole bow.

I don't get what's going on with it.

At this point I've done all I can do. Or at least know how/what to do. Taking to a pro shop tomorrow. Thanks.

Granted the shots aren't perfect so I need a little work at 30 yards
