I was shooting tonight, and probably around arrow # 20 as I released the string came right off the cams. Broke the arrow in half. No idea what happened, no visible damage or anything amiss on the bow, except the string hanging loose.
I have a crossbow I can use tomorrow, so it won't keep me from hunting, but frustrating nonetheless. I'll have to try to get it into the shop sometime this week to have it looked at and restrung.

Don't feel bad. Week before last mine started shooting funny so I had it looked at. D-loop had loosened and moved which screwed my rest up. Finally got it somewhat dialed in but really need to work on it this week.

In my tree. I should have worn waders, as I had to walk hundreds of yards through waist high, dew-soaked grass. Lol! Right before I got to my tree, something let out a horrible "scream". It started of sounding like a siren. I think it was some sort of bird.
I forgot my seat cushion for the hang-on stand, as well as a bow hanger.

That happened to me three weeks ago. Figured that I had a cracked nock or didn't have the nock fully set. The kinetic energy destroyed my cam mods and broke off the stops. I know you checked your bow but be sure to double check your draw stops. I shoot a Mathews but have owned PSE's in the past. The PSE's had a tendency for the string to role off the cams through no fault of the shooter. Just my experience.....

Pretty disappointing morning. Should've easily had a doe. Bolt hit either part of the window on the blind or a plant and missed. She trotted away then began blowing off in the distance. I'll hang tight for a while then maybe try again this evening.

In my tree. Bumped a good doe parking and passed a doe 15 min after sitting down. Hoping a turkey walks by or a huge buck!

Just seen a yearling out of range, wind on my side. Momma must be down there with her can't confirm exactly what the other is. Keeping on. Can't be picky if theyre in range and not too small it's going down for the dinner table.
I talked to my uncle yesterday who walks over by ft. Ben. Said he seen two bucks sparring the other morning around dawn. Figure that's some good info to share.

This early in the year and the great weather (43 here this morning) there's no reason to think things are jacked up.

Everyone be safe and have a great deer season. Make the best of it every time. Not going out. Nice cool morning. Catching up on being out of town the last three days and family reunion.

Sitting in HNF this morning behind the camper. Al I've seen is the owner of our campground on her morning run. Didn't realize she changed her route and passed not too far away. Did just get a text that my nephew just shot his first buck this morning. A 5 pointer.

My favorite most bestest day of the year...
Cool enough to be comfy and no skeeters yet. Have seen 3 small bucks and 8 does. Not really interested in shooting anything so I designated a tree as my shooting tree. If a deer stands by the shooting tree I'll shoot it otherwise it gets a pass. One came close, 7 yards, but not by the shooting tree so all have passed unharmed so far.
Good luck to all...

Spirits are up and hunt mode is on.
