Bought a 25-06 for the encore for this season. Anyone else using it?

No, but I saw a pic of your 300wm barrel with the brake on it. I bet once you shoot it you will be in love and not wanting anything else! Lol.
My old work partner has a 25-06 Pro Hunter. He shot a coyote just under 600yds. He was sighted in to 500yd, and said he just held a little higher. It is a really good deer caliber, but not very popular in my group, surprisingly. You will enjoy it.

I had a 25-06 Encore barrel, I was not pleased with the accuracy with the heavier bullets so I got rid of it; hopefully yours does better.

I'll be toting a .25 cal, .257 Weatherby mag with 120gr bullets. It shoots like a laser out to about 400 yards, very high speed, flat trajectory.

Got the 25-06 sighted in today, had to do it offhand but I got it hitting good at 100 yards on my own range.

Not bad at all shooting offhand!

A quarter bore is definitely on the bucket list of cartridges I want to try, heard many great things about the 25-06.

Me! I've owned a lot of .25-06 rifles over the years, and am glad to finally be able to pack one during deer season.

Used the 25-06 today and man did it drop that young buck, he went about 3 steps and collapsed. Shot was right at 90 yards. Used Hornady 117 grain factory deer load.

Used Hornady 117 grain factory deer load. American Whitetail ammo? That's what I am using.

Shot a coyote with it couple of days ago, shot was only 33 yards but it blew a 2 inch hole coming out of him.

Heck of a round for deer and coyotes. Had a chance to bench site this week and looking good. Low shot was the first then other two within half inch at 100 yards.

25'06 is hard to beat. My girl shoots my 25wssm. Shoots so flat and far that you have to salt the bullet or the meat will spoil before you can get to it. Ha
