Well I figured this day was coming. Although I dreaded the thought of it, the fear kept lingering in my mind. And this morning it happened. I walked in from my morning adventures in the woods only discover my nightmare had came to fruition. My wife had the Christmas decorations out! All of them! Boxes upon boxes of lights and garland and knick knacks! Glitter still fills the air as I write this. But, it's now over. Christmas decorations are up and the misses is happy!

I started mine, but not finished. My wife is mad at me for buying that Horton Legend crossbow. I guess I'm the Grinch this year.

I was able to get mine to hold off until after thanksgiving, barely. We did go cut our tree and decorate it and the house the Friday after.

My wife did like the new backyard lights that the next ridge might be able to see and or the planes flying over. The light are on the white fence that is part of the new patio. Reference picture

Live by the motto. Screw it up once she'll never ask you to do it again. 15 years with my wife. Did laundry once.

10 years ago we built a new house and moved in the weekend before Christmas. A crappy little tree on an end table was the only decorations we put up ... and the bow I put on my wife's present, the dishwasher.
A year later I had to go all out and put up lights on the roof, wreaths on the outside garage lights, etc. Then a big windstorm came through and blew all the lights off the house, and the dog chewed them up. I haven't put up Christmas lights since, and my kids take care of most of the inside stuff now.

I've had the same thing happen a couple of times. You put all this crap up outside and then the winds decide to "rearrange" it for you.
I gave away my gutter lights and switched to colored spot lights a few years back. No muss, no fuss and I can have my exterior decorations (which consist of the spots and a few exterior window decorations) down in less than 15 minutes.
It's made life much easier...

If mother nature won't cooperate and decorate with snow, I'm not gonna bother either.

Yeah, it's around the corner, we always go get the expensive by ft. Cut ourselves Christmas tree, so I demand we wait until 2nd week of December so the tree lasts. That Is also Coming in handy with this late firearm season.
Anyways we always make good Christmas photos with the boys and I while we harvest our tree. I have to go dig out the boxes and boxes of christmas decorations out of storage. She will only use a box and a half worth for decorating and the others will just be rummaged through for memories and stacked in my man cave section of the garage. I'll bargain muzzleload season out of her with the above mentioned work lol.

My wife likes decorating for Christmas on her own and doesn’t want to be bothered.
I’m a very lucky man
