It doesn't matter to me if he totally made it up. It was still good conversation. That’s what weather people do every single day. Make stuff up. I think I read the average meteoroligist salary in our area is $90k!!! Not bad for guessing and being so wrong regularly!

Well good thing I have four wheel drive. I can now go anywhere at normal speeds regardless of the road conditions.

And the "model dance" has begun...
The forecast is changing a bit, but there are still several days with periods of freezing rain and gusty winds showing (depending upon which model you look @) from Xmas eve into the middle of the following week.
Point being...if this verifies, there will likely be wide spread power outages during Xmas week and the temps are supposed to tank headed into new years eve weekend.
We are still a week out and the forecast will likely change....several times...
How much and what will those changes be? Who knows...

Don't have a generator though. But what do you need them for other than pumping water. You could go down to local creek for toilet water. I have a spring on the property that I could get water from. And shower you could use wetnaps. Lol

Just rain in balmy southern Indiana...

The forecast for my area on December 12 was for nearly 2" of freezing rain on Xmas eve and Xmas day.
So while I bust the chops of weather forecasters pretty often, I have to give them some credit on this one.
Eleven days after the initial forecast, the timing was off by a day or two, the amount of precipitation was very close, but the type of precipitation was wrong (thankfully).
FWIW, I'll happily take 2" of rain and a bit of snow over 2" of freezing rain any time...
