Stay warm in that cold weather. My youngest is working in Miami for a month or so then going to Fresno for a few months to work. I've got enough split seasoned wood to last till spring. Thank goodness for log splitters.

We have been bombed with continuous snow in NE LaPorte county. It has piled up and compacted over and over.
The neighbor tries to get a few swipes in with his atv plow here and there, but only adds to the piles. I need to buy a big snowblower, but hate to drop that much for something used only a couple times a year.
I finally had to ask for help. Esshup brought over his tractor with attached snowblower and took care of business for us! He was able to cut thru some of the piles to move back the build up. Thank you my friend!
He brought a roof rake for me to pull some snow off the roofs too. I bet there is 26-30" snow on my garage. I am one whooped puppy! Thank you again for all the help!!!

I have done my driveway what seems like almost every day and 2 or 3 times per day on the weekend. I have a small snow blower that is not self propelled. While it is better than a shovel it is still a lot of work.

Last thing I thought I had to worry about was our tankless water heater. No hot water this morning. Error code on heater said blocked exhaust. Went out and looked and exhaust pipe was a solid chunk of ice. Took a little time with a heat gun but finally got it cleared. Wife is happy again.

Not a problem! Go get a snowblower, with the amount of snow you get, you won't be only using it 2-3 times per season, you will be using it 4-5 times a week. Get the new snow once you have the first layer packed down, then it's much more manageable.
I came home, did mine, and then my neighbors across the street. With each pass removing 42" of snow, it goes pretty quickly. I even have an 80" wide path to the 100 and 200 yd targets.

I put the plow on my four wheeler today. The local (Louisville) weather people are predicting snow panic for Friday afternoon. We don't get that much snow around here on a normal basis, but what really hurts us is ice. Friday is supposed to be 3-4" of "layered ice, sleet, and snow." The TV stations are actually predicting the percentage chance of school closings for Friday. I remember about 15 years ago when a significant snow was predicted to happen during the day. School was closed and not a soul was working on my project. The boss and I did some planning and then went to lunch. Absolutely nothing was going on, including snow. I made a beer run and we sat in the office waiting for the snow that NEVER happened, not a flake!
Temperatures are supposed to be near record of 69 tomorrow, 38 (at midnght) Friday, teens Saturday morning, etc. My pitiful heat pump can hardly keep up when it's below 20. I bought two infrared heaters and they really help. I also run a big buddy heater in the garage when I want to get away. My fireplace insert without a blower is literally useless, good for only ambiance.

We took the fireplace out after chimney damage from the tornado in 2011 and I haven't been able to throw it away thinking someone would need it.
