I imagine the DNR has much more important things to do with their time then to deal with tree stands left out in the woods BUT I still feel it's something I need to ask about. After all, it's not right and it's trashing our lands. One stand in particular that I've seen looks like a "memorial". It has a wooden cross affixed to it with (something to the affect of), John Doe hunted here from 1985-2011, inscribed on that cross. The stand looks in tack but upon closer inspection, is very precarious. Plus with all the debris built up on it, it does appear very much abandoned. How does one even report on stands left out in the woods and will DNR come remove it (them)? Thanks.

If you are aware of stands left on DNR properties outside the dates allowed, you can contact the office for the property and they will make arrangements to deal with the situation.
