I've been attempting, with zero success, at finding out how long IN can utilize my lifetime license to earn the reimbursement for the PR Act...anyone know?
I've heard from multiple sources LTL's have a sunset time where they no longer count...and if mine no longer counts I'm going to start buying at least a small game license to support it.
Thanks for any information on this....

I dont think so.. but there is an attrition rate.. some of us old guys have either died off or quit hunting..they account for that.

If there isn't a sunset clause for it counting then I won't...don't feel like bugging Joe (as he has his hands full) but may as I bet he would know.

I was in a DNR meeting at Ft Ben when this was being discussed. My bad memory thinks it's 15 years.

There was a proposal for a nominal license fee ($1) to generate about $10 in federal funds that would otherwise be lost. The nominal license would be for those no longer paying into the system due to age military service etc.
I can't remember it the notion caught any traction. I have an ltl and would also give $1 to get the PR money.

I even proposed it as a caveat to selling lifetime licenses again, and I got blasted by some current LTL holders that they would sue the state for breach of contract. I am a LTL holder and I agree with the idea.

And I don't want that to open the door to keep increasing that yearly "fee" either. What about once every 5,10,15 years or whatever the time interval is for the licenses to stay active for the State to get P/R money?
