I was three and half. I don't remember it, but I recall a picture of my Dad on top of the house shoveling snow off the roof.

My best memory of that whole episode was the next door neighbor's son and I fixed a broken water line on our neighbor lady's freeze proof hydrant. She lived alone and loved to cook, when we finished fixing the hydrant she had cooked a meal for us fit for a king and enough for 4 guys.

I remember the drifts against the garage door being much taller than me. The neighbor had an old Ford tractor w/loader and dug the whole neighborhood out.

My best friend told me he was almost born on the back of a snowmobile, thankfully he said they made it to the hospital just in time. I wasn't born yet, but my dad talks about it quite frequently.
