I haven't taken mine to the range for about 10 years or so, until today. I originally sighted my gun on a downhill range at our old house and it worked well enough to take 2 nice bucks with it. Today I was at Atterbury and it was printing very low at 50 yards. I couldn't believe it so I dialed it in and then ran out out the 250gr Hornady ammo that I had. I had some 245gr American Whitetail too, so I shot it too but it was printing a few inches higher. I took the time to get it dialed in at 50 and 100 yards and it seems to like that ammo VERY well. It was smacking the steel HARD at 100 yards and the whole experience got me excited to get it back into action again this year. I have a Leupold 1.5-4x scope on it and surprisingly, it was easy to tear the center out of the target at 100 yards still. I have a lot of legal guns for deer, so it didn't even leave the safe last year. For anyone on the fence about this round, it is awesome. Hits hard and it is surprisingly accurate, at least out of my 16" barrel.

I killed a big doe last year at 165yds in heavy rain. She ran approx 60yds with a quartering away archery shot. I watched her go down, so didnt go check. Even after about 2 hrs, there was still good blood left. 18" AR that I sold.
Now I will be using a 20" custom Encore barrel. Results to follow. Such a handy gun and COOL round!

Saw this thread and wanted to let folks know that if you want either a 450 BM or a 350 Legend in a Ruger American and are having a hard time finding one hit me up!!! For SOME unknown reason we have a LOT of both and there is just not a market for them out here. They are right around $500.

I broke one today shooting some stiff handloads.

Just need a replacement stock. Dont really want tan, just an OEM replacement. From what I read, some green predators have the AR mag, and his does not. Anyway, he has decided to order a Boyds. That will put the gun out of commission for the season likely with the wait time. I was hoping to get it going sooner for him, but oh well. Thanks.

I got (2) boxes of the 245gr Federal American Whitetail in today that my gun shoots so well. It's not in stock many places at all. I will be good for years with the 46 rounds that I have now.
