Esshup - have you looked at Michaila Firearms, AKA Ace true Value on Oak road in plymouth? They have a respectable supply of guns and ammo. Also, I’ve been to the back 40 a few times myself. Some of those stations kinda makes a guy humble.

Some of those stations kinda makes a guy humble. Yes, I have bought a few things thru the hardware store. Last time I was at Back Forty, station 3 or 4 (the first one to the left after you make the right turn on the path) gave me fits, I only shot a 6 there. That used to be where thay had a bunny target, he switched the bunny trap to the next station, it was a teal and a bunny. Teal up from the left, bunny from the right. Other than that, I think the course is not too hard as a whole, although there are some stations that make you think, especially when shooting doubles. But then again I've been shooting clay birds for a few years now. That is the green course, Ryan will set up a harder course (the Red Course) if enough people ask for it. I typically shoot sorta OK on the green course but I have to keep my head in the game and our of my arse. You can shoot the whole course with IC choke and 1 1/8 oz of #8's. Station 9 is hard if you catch it at the right time of the day because one of the birds is being thrown right where the sun is and it's really hard to pick up in the sun. Make it a point to go shoot there for the Bunny Shoot in April. That is a blast!! I'm donating 50# of venison to Ryan for the buffet. I'll post when the shoot is, he runs the bunny shoot for 2 consecutive weekends. I typically will go shoot with some guys that I used to work with, but I would go shoot it 2x or 3x, I need the practice - I'm not shooting enough. If you want to go shoot sometime, let me know when and if my schedule is free I'll meet you there.

Thanks!!! Now I'm also looking for a new CZ 527 American, wood stock. The price should be around $750-$800. (At least that's what the FFL's were selling them for a few months ago.)

I think I’ve only been there about 5 times. Never broke 80. I think the ducks know this too. I should take some of my kids there and try that this spring. I can let you if/when we go.

Sounds like a plan. Let me know! If you don't have ammo, Ryan tries to keep enough there, 12 and 20 ga. When times were different he kept all gauges in inventory. FYI, he tries to change the presentations for all the birds on all the stations every month.

I've honestly not been there enough to notice all the changes from time to time. I did remember a rabbit station being different one time, because the last time I was there I was about 4 for 10 and knew I should do better than that. I normally take a 16 ga. and he has always had that on hand in the past. I have taken a 12 ga in case he didn't have the 16's. Thanks Esshup!
