Does anyone have an actual source where someone credible says there will be a $200 tax? Straight from the biden website. I would say its safe to assume regulation under the NFA implies a ,$200 tax.

So 2 out of the 3 posts that quoted me had the word assume or assumption in there. And the first article was published before the election and also mentioned that their "source" was a Facebook post. Now I'm not the smartest person out there but I do know enough to not get my news from Facebook. We all know both sides will do anything-I mean anything to get votes. I wouldn't put it past anybody to start a rumor to drum up support.
But...that doesn't mean that I won't fight hard to keep it from happening and any other sort of buyback or registry if it comes to it. If there is a legit source that said this tax was definitely in his plan then I will get excited and start firing emails to Congress. I tend to stay away from this political section because of all the hyperbole and assumptions that get thrown out there. I also refuse to join the NRA because of their hyperbole. I do however follow the Firearms Policy Coalition, a nonprofit that actually files lawsuits and works to get these unconstitutional laws and gun grabs overturned.
I'll fight for anything I believe in as long as I know what I'm fighting against.

Its a 50/50 assumption and since the Fed is only good at one thing (taxation), its not hard to read between the lines.

I agree with you that the Feds are good at taxation and think that they will try to push this bill through. I didn't really convey what I meant in my post. I'm just really tired of the stuff that gets spread without proof. I do think that this will be something to watch for and fight when the time is right. There's also the fact that a lot of left leaning people are starting to buy guns and they won't support this regulation. www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/10/25/first-time-gun-sales-not-voting-for-trump-430310

They mean to take you guns, and there aren't many options for stopping them.
