Woodmaster has a gobbler about 100 yards away but is with two hens and won’t leave them. Nothing here except 4 deer..momma is quite pregnant.

Woodmaster had two more gobblers show up and run the first one off. They are still a good distance off ..

Passed on a Jake and have already moved my blind to the other side of the field based on where the gobling was and where I saw one.

Woodmaster’s gobblers and hens left. He now has a Strutter a couple hundred yards down the field. He is getting no response to his calls.

I didn't hunt as stated. Kinda glad, as it was 27deg early on, now 37deg. I got everything packed and ready, so shooting for Friday morning, and the weekend for sure.
I am missing my wingbone call. Hmmmmmmmmm. Everything else was where it should be. Both wife and Luke said they didn't see it, so maybe it was so good, it grew wings and flew for the hills? 🤷♂️ lol

This cold snap has shut down the gobbling, just had a lone hen come on by clucking and feeding

Have one gobbling like crazy up on the ridge, but he’s skirting this bottom field...he won’t come down here.

Another reason I'm glad I stayed home. North wind at 27mph now. The windchill is 29deg. Straight off Lake Michigan.

Someone about 3/4 mile away opened up the season 15 mins. before legal.
I heard several birds gobbling about 1/4 mile away.
A half hour after legal 2 Jakes pop out of a small group of trees about 80 yards away and stand there looking at my decoys for about 5 mins but decided to move off in another direction.
Just before I left a hen passed by me about 100 yards away.
All in all I had a great morning.

Running and gunning. Had a gobbler answering me for a while. We circled each other getting closer and closer for 30 minutes till he went silent and disappeared.

Have a Jake,hen,and a bearded hen putting on a show for the last half hour. He is all puffed up like the big boys.

Got set up and had a gobbler going crazy on the roost about 200 yards from me. He flew down and immediately had 2 hens with him. I watched them out in the field for over an hour before deciding to try and sneak closer. They moved off to the west behind a section of woods. I moved much closer and set a hen and 3/4 strut decoy. Did some light calling and the gobbler answered, but he was on the complete opposite side of the woods from me. Listened to him slowly getting closer in the woods for the next 35 minutes and then he shut up and disappeared. He gobbled for 3 hours straight this morning before shutting up. Fun morning and think I have some good intel for a better plan next time. Didn't hear a single gun shot.
