I am on Facebook to keep up with my nephews and nieces and their kids. Also friends and old schoolmates. Most of them would have zero interest in HI. There are several good gun related sites too. For whatever reason it does not take much to get sent to the corner. I think the people that are in charge of putting the folks in FB Jail just do it to meet numbers. They show up to the weekly meeting and spout numbers of inmates for the bosses. Exactly!!

Old and living on fixed income…
Wife’s social security My social security Alcoa pension Required withdrawals (RMD) from our 401k
The top three are pretty well set. We do get pittance raises from Social Security once in a great while.
I never pull out any more money from our 401K than what the feds say I have to pull out. If I ever really need to pull out more it would probably put me in a higher bracket where I would pay taxes on 80% of our Social Security. That would bite.
Taxes -
They tax us on what earn Tax us on the money we spend Tax us on what we own

Got a message from the FB basement dwelling kids that they had removed my restrictions. When I opened it up it said they reviewed it and did not lift my restrictions my restrictions were I could not “call” (I never do that anyways) and could not post on any group.
A quick test post on H-I there showed I could post.
Yep, I’m on their watch list for sure… Me and David Scott are the bad boys over there. Watch ‘em!

Text for the Day -- Psalm 28 ---------- To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, do not refuse to hear me, for if you are silent to me, I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.
Hear the voice of my supplication, as I cry to you for help, as I lift up my hands towards your most holy sanctuary.
Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who are workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbours, while mischief is in their hearts.
Repay them according to their work, and according to the evil of their deeds; repay them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.
Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, or the work of his hands, he will break them down and build them up no more.
Devotional ---------- David pleads for God not to be silent, but to hear his prayer and act for his people. David is confident God will hear and answer. He closes the psalm by describing the ways God cares for his people. God is the strength of the people. God is a shepherd to the people and carries them forever. However, the wicked do not remember God of the acts of God, and so, they do not know the protection of God.
Prayer ------------- O Divine Shepherd, keep me ever in your fold and help me remember your acts of steadfast love. Amen

Made some frozen raw shrimp in the air fryer. Only took about 8-9min, and had a great texture. Coated with salt and blackened seasoning, then swirled around in butter when done. Man oh man, fabulous! Ready to try some fish fillets soon. I do that too only I use Old Bay Seasoning. Coat the raw shrimp (I thaw mine) good with Old Bay, cook on 390 for 8 minutes maximum, shaking half way through. I melt a stick of real butter in a large bowl in the micro way. I dump the cooked shrimp in the bowl, squeeze half a lemon over the shrimp and stir enough to coat all the shrimp good with the butter/lemon juice. GOOOOODDDD STUFF!

All I can say is that I'm glad that I'm not living in Cali any more. Left San Diego in 1964 and never looked back. I did return once to see my grandson graduate Medical School at Loma Linda. My parents and sister/brother-in-law are buried there. I hope they are not voting Democrat.

FaceBook jail again
Just got put in jail again for sharing a post from The Indiana Bowhunters Association about a 3D archery contest at Broken Arrow. The post in IBA is still up, but my sharing it is down. The supposed “reason” was I violated the “g u n s , a n i m a l s and other regulated items” community standards”. This is an ARCHERY s h o o t where there are no g u n s , no a n I m a l s being s h o t at, only targets and there are no “other regulated” items there. I guess I asked for a review - hard to tell the way they have it set up.
I’m pretty sure they just have it in for me, so I’m about ready to hang up On FaceBook.

Text for the Day -- Psalm 137 ---------- By the rivers of Babylon— there we sat down and there we wept when we remembered Zion. On the willows there we hung up our harps. For there our captors asked us for songs, and our tormentors asked for mirth, saying, ‘Sing us one of the songs of Zion!’
How could we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither! Let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy.
Remember, O Lord, against the Edomites the day of Jerusalem’s fall, how they said, ‘Tear it down! Tear it down! Down to its foundations!’ O daughter Babylon, you devastator! Happy shall they be who pay you back what you have done to us! Happy shall they be who take your little ones and dash them against the rock!
Devotional ---------- This psalm is a cry of pathos for a people in bondage. Jerusalem is destroyed, the temple is leveled and they are sitting in a strange land and alien land, Babylon. How can we have joy and sing the songs of Zion, they ask. They hung up their harps and did not sing. They were judged and sent into exile to live as lonely strangers. It is much like that in the loneliness Jesus experienced on the cross as he suffers our judgment and separation.
Prayer ------------- Thank you, Lord, that Jesus took on our judgment. Amen

Boonechaser,
I would think if it was a game farm or a breeding pen the IDNR would say so. Tough to cover that up..

Text for the Day -- Psalm 44:1-3, 23 ---------- We have heard with our ears, O God, our ancestors have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old: you with your own hand drove out the nations, but them you planted; you afflicted the peoples, but them you set free; for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm give them victory; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, for you delighted in them.
Rouse yourself! Why do you sleep, O Lord? Awake, do not cast us off for ever!
Devotional ---------- The psalmist recounts God's acts of grace in delivering his people. Israel did not redeem herself. The victory belonged to God. In their troubles they cry out again, wondering why God is sleeping and not working for them. It is hard to be patient and wait for the arm of the Lord to act and deliver, yet, that is the only way deliverance will come.
Prayer ------------- Help me to be patiently expectant as I pray to you, my Lord. Amen

My non-resident grandson from Chicago (who could only hunt 3 or 4 days) used to buy the NR bundle, but never killed more than one deer. This gigantic leap in the NR bundle made a buck only hunter out of him. He just buys the NR General Firearms license now. I'm sure that the bean counters have figured out that Indiana will not lose any license monies by this change Exactly…. And resident Deerhunters had been demanding the DNR raise the NR license fee.Seems that may have went little to far… But they will never go back…

Text for the Day -- Psalm 10:1-4 ---------- Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? In arrogance the wicked persecute the poor— let them be caught in the schemes they have devised.
For the wicked boast of the desires of their heart, those greedy for gain curse and renounce the Lord. In the pride of their countenance the wicked say, ‘God will not seek it out’; all their thoughts are, ‘There is no God.’
Devotional ---------- The Psalms reflect the human situation, including the dark side of humanity. In the darkness a person will basically serve themselves in pride and greed. They will convince themselves that God is not concerned about their life, so they can do as they please. In those circumstances the righteous do cry out for God and wonder why God puts up with it.
Prayer ---------------- Continue to pour the light of Christ into my life, Lord. Amen

Don’t Blame you High Cotton
I had my own consulting business after I retired from Alcoa and was on the road almost continuously. It got real old, real fast. Money was great but it wasn’t worth it. After a couple years I hung it up for good and haven’t looked back.
I wish you the best no matter what you do.
