The Walmart stores near me (in the southern part of the state) don't carry nearly the hunting items that they used to.
They have to clearance much of the stuff they do carry and eventually it sells out when the prices get low enough.
I figure eventually they will quit carrying fall hunting items completely.

It will be interesting to read some of the reviews and handle the actual rifles when they make it to the stores.

SMH......agree, an ugly win and coming back from 15 shows some grit. Just amazes me though, IU cannot find shooters. 18% from 3 point range and what I think is unexcusable 57% from the line. Hope I'm wrong but the approaching conference games could be really ugly. I agree. The inconsistency of play by this team will continue to be their achilles heel unless/until they figure it out.

I get your frustration but in the end, I don't think that trying to "whizz off the USPS people" is going to do you much good and making the mailbox door "self closing" will likely end up in a whole bunch of undelivered mail @ your address with a notice that you will have to pick your mail up @ the post office. I live in an unincorporated area and the post office is only 1 mile away. I talked to them a year ago when this first started happening and it was the substitutes that were being lazy in not closing the door completely. I talked to the local route delivery driver and she said to do it, she was tired of trying to cover for the subs when she was off and had perturbed people to deal with when she came back from vacation. The post mistress also gave me her blessing to do it. I'm sick and tired of getting soggy mail. If the person doesn't want to DO THEIR JOB then I will make it easier for them to do it. I am tired of being the doormat. There is nothing in the postal regulations that says that I cannot do that and the postal people that I talked to said that if the sub doesn't deliver the mail and the mailbox is "legal" that will give them more ammunition to write them up and get rid of them if they can't DO THEIR JOB. Here's hoping it goes your way...

Here FedEx is the worst, USPS is 2nd and UPS is the best. If I see my mailbox door open when I get home one more time I will whizz off the USPS people, but too dang bad. I will make the door self closing and they will have to use two hands to deliver the mail. I have the largest legal mailbox that is available so they don't have to get out and walk up to the door to deliver smaller packages. I get your frustration but in the end, I don't think that trying to "whizz off the USPS people" is going to do you much good and making the mailbox door "self closing" will likely end up in a whole bunch of undelivered mail @ your address with a notice that you will have to pick your mail up @ the post office.

In the southern part of the state, I woke up to 21 degrees @ 6 am.
Now, it's a balmy 25 degrees with full sun.

But the internet being the internet, I found it.

Regardless of what that buck scores, or what its monetary value may or may not be, that young man killed a once in a lifetime buck.
And that's the thing that seems to get lost in these situations.

Wonder what it costs to replace the batteries in an EV and/or a hybrid vehicle? According to Google,$4000-$20000 depending on the vehicle! YIKES. Maybe we should try this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpQWjvet9o4

It matters not what type of feeder you use, the fact of the matter is that deer sharing feeders run a higher risk of contracting/spreading CWD than deer that don't share feeders.
And to your quote above...
All of the above is likely true, until CWD raises it's ugly head.

There's a big difference between a living food plot as compared to dumping corn and/or deer chow in a feeder (or on the ground).
If CWD is in Indiana already, IMO that is just another good reason to quit feeding in stationary feeders state wide.
Finally, healthy deer will likely survive without supplemental feeding so in your opinion, what's really the point of dumping bagged deer food for them to eat?
