A BIG THANK YOU to Woody and Tom aka Timex for putting on this youth hunt, I am so impressed on how everything was so well planned and what they had for the kids. This was Holden and I first time on the hunt, and could not believe everything these guys did. From offering land for these kids to hunt on, to all the goodies for them, to guys who went out to scout and put stands up for them. Truely amazing how well they had everything for them. WOW, not that is the X Factor! There was dinner, breakfeast, lunch, games , prizes, just everything you can think of. A BIG Thank You to ALL sponsors, you all Rock! I do not think I saw a sad kid there at all yesterday! they all seemed to have fun and getting to shoot a crossbow was awesome, I never shot one before but got the chance. Folks, these guys do a great job, and are so kind to put this all together just to see young kids get out and hunt, That says a lot about these guys, to let total strangers on your land, and hoping they all get a deer, is just something you hardly see anymore! Tom, thank you very much for allowing us to come up and hunt on your land, Holden had a great time on Sat. and we left early because he was gettting that talking stage and was gettting ants in his pants, still has a long way to go but I think he did a good job hunting and learning. Plus the time spent with him was great, we had some good bonding time. I think you ALL for the hunt and the oppertuninty to get to hunt with a great group of people. And Tom and Woody are pretty good shots with that crossbow, even though Tom beat Woody with Woody's own bow in a shoot out. THANK YOU ALL!
Holden and Brian

Brian, Great meeting you and your fine young man. Although Tom and I can not guarantee every youngster a deer or for that matter a chance to see a deer we do guarantee that every one will have a good time and not go home empty handed OR hungry. I know a couple folks went home with one of your fine grunt tubes. Being the gentleman I am I kind of threw off just a little to allow the host to win.....you all believe that don't you? A special thanks to Chef DeerTracks for the fine grub that he fixed us and the way he kept the camp in tip top shape. We couldn't do it without him. The greatest thanks of all is for Timex aka Tom Conely that opens up his property for the kids and us to enjoy. The man is ultra unselfish and a heck of a Huntmaster. He works very hard to get the kids in the right palces to see and kill deer. Extremely tough job due to this early start and the heavy foilage. Lots of deer were spotted, 2 were killed, one was missed and more were passed by a more seasoned youth. Several kids heard deer but could not see them. A fawn killer coyote went to his final reward. good hunt all in all...despite the shortened hunt due to bad weather. Tom first came to me 3 years ago with this idea, so it would be totally impossible to do this without that extreme generosity on his part. If anyone is looking for good places to hunt, Tom has them. I really enjoy these deer camps and hunts with the youths and I'm looking forward to next year.. Thanks to all sponsors and participants!!

Woody, just having a place that I know is safe from roaming hunters is great for us. we do not get out much, with my back not as good as it was, we kinda are limited to ground blind hunting or stand hunting for 1-2 hours. Back is still going haywire, I have not gone as much as I use to. So getting out with Holden was great, and he loved getting a chance and a place to hunt. We did not go home hungry or empty handed, I had a great time and Holden is still going on about the goodie bag. We had a very good time out there. Just a peace of mind knowing he was in the woods and it was safe to take him out.
Thank You Guys again.

Thanks for Bob. Very valuable and much appreciated. Cindy is on the payroll, so her help was compensated. Don't tell her though.

Thanks to Dustin for all of the many to-do's & behind the scenes things that he does for Tom, Woody, the mentors, & the youth hunters to help with the unforseen things that pop-up during the camp.
