I forgot a word in my question . Can a youth only take ONE deer during the youth season? Or how many deer can a youth take during the youth season?

Youth can take either a buck or a doe during youth season. If they take a buck, that's their buck for the remaining seasons.

Thanks for clearing that up, my nephew harvested a button buck and was told that he could go out and shoot more deer up to the quota in that county. and I thought that was incorrect and to be happy with the one he harvested.

One deer only during the special youth hunt. The license is good for any deer that is legal during the regular hunting seasons. Since he didn't take an antlered buck during the youth hunt he can still take a buck and the bonus does during the regular seasons with a youth license. The change for next year is that he will be allowed to take more than one during the youth season.

As youth mentors we have to be SUPER careful that what we are doing is 110% correct and legal. We do not wnat to start any youth out on the wrong foot..
