Man I've been busting it all week trying to get everything done so I can go to Nebraska Deer Hunting. However wanted to give you all a quick update of the Georgia Youth Hunt
The Hunt was an Awesome Experience for both Margaret and Myself. She ended up shooting a nice sized doe on the last hunt of the weekend. She was all smiles, and everyone was cheering her on. Her smile made it worth the whole trip.
She did very well on the range, blowing up a pop can at 200 Yards, and smoking the siloutte target at 600 Yards with the 308 Sniper Rifle. She didn't get to shoot the 50 Cal...BUT I DID! WOW!
The Kids all blended very well, and were all cheering each other on. It was something to see. No fighting, no jelously, just pure enjoyment and encouragement.
The Lodge was beuatiful, and they fed us all like kings and queens.
This was my first QDMA Event. Didn't know much about the organization but I can tell you what. This organization is top notch from the Top on Down. Couldn't have met a more humble group of people working for the same cause. Used to think it was a group all about big racks...I was so wrong! This group is made of up a huge bunch of resources that truly live up to their name. They are Land/Wildlife Managers First, and Hunters 2nd. I was truly humbled to be among them. Learned a lot that I didn't even know.
I'm hoping this attachment works. It's all the pictures that I took during the week. I uploaded and hope you all can see and enjoy.
Now to go kill a big buck for myself in Nebraska! Wish me luck!
