I went out but wish I hadn't. It's not that we didn't see birds it was the other hunters. Of course, it's public land but on a large lake, is it necessary to set up 30 yards from someone who has already set up? Then, of course, they take the attitude that if I can't have them, no one else will and instead of letting birds work, they're shooting at these birds when they're 80, 90 yards out. We had 5 in our group and all of us could have limited out easily if the birds would have been allowed to work. Nope, I'm getting to the point where I'm soon gonna give up duck hunting because of the hunters, not the birds. Some hunters ruin it for the rest. Sorry for the rant, but I wasted a great day because of the rudeness of other hunters. Sounds real famiular pard.......

Saturday evening, I heard morons shooting 20 minutes late on Lake Wawasee (or one of the nearby lakes), probably went on even later...

It's amazing how many birds you see just before and just after legal shooting time, so I guess it's the best time to hunt. : )
The people I hunt with all load/unload to the second based on my watch which is set to the Atomic Clock just prior to any hunt, can't imagine why anyone wouldn't do this.
