Ive been lurking for quite a while this is a great site. It seems you guys have alot of fun. I do most of my hunting up north mostly on private ground. I cant wait for the weekend to get here. I have a question for some of you experts. I have been watching several flocks of geese come into one of my fields. They all are honking and making noise and you can here them coming from a mile a way. However i have on group of about 10-15 that never makes a sound when they are flying in. Why is this? I have never heard this particular flock make any noise at all.
Thanks guys i hope to hang around here a while.
Jeff

Welcome to the site. And in response to your question, I think a few of us will have to come up there and see what you are talking about before diagnosing an answer for you ;D

And don't worry there is enough people trying to invade our goose territory!

Hey UpNorth.... you'll have to come DownSouth and throw some steel on a hunt sometime. It's always an adventure, regardless of the amount of birds killed / seen....... got some good spots, and some not so good spots......Just depends on the day of the week. Let me know if you are interested....

You guys are Crazy. BSUTravis thanks for the offer that is really great. I tend to hunt by myself anymore. I have hunted with some folks up here in the past, and have had some bad experiences One guy even went to the land owner after we were done hunting and offered to lease the property from him. Luckily the owner new me well and did not trust this other fellow. So thanks again for the offer but i will have to decline because i would not be able to return the favor.

I understand Jeff...... That totally SUCKS about the guy doing that. There are a lot of guys on here that feel that leasing is the sign of the apocalypse...I tend to think that slob hunters and guys that do things like what you mentioned are more of a problem.
If ya change your mind, let me know....at least when you hunt alone you don't have other guys laughing their tail feathers off at how bad you missed, which is a definate with the group of guys that I hunt with! It's not only accepted, it's encouraged!
Shoot straight....and let us know if you need a posse to go kick that fellas arse that tried to screw ya over....... LOL

I would never give you a hard time travis especially when you miss a dove just sitting there, but we won't get into that. We do have a great time, remember hunting is all about the memories!

Let's not forget all the hunters that seem to "miss" big ole' 25lb gobblers that are "sitting" there.....so missing a sitting dove isn't that big of a deal. ;D
All about the memories..........and nightmares! LOL
