What if I shoot a deer near the end of legal shooting times & it runs off. When I finally find it after dark, it's still alive. Can I legally shoot it the 2nd time to dispatch it? Or do I have to watch it slowly die?

According to State Statute and Administrative Rules, it would be illegal to shoot the deer after legal shooting hours. However, my recommendation is the following: If a person would find themselves in this situation, they would need to contact our Central Dispatch at (812) 837-9536 and advise the dispatcher to have an OFFICER contact you. The OFFICER can give you specific instructions based on your particular circumstance.
