We got nothing on these guys!
"In 1859, two parties of Arkansas hunters competed to see which could kill the most squirrels. During the five-week competition, they bagged 19,765 squirrels. The difference between the two parties was 1,134. Local citizens enjoyed a huge barbecue at which the squirrels were served."

Lol My wifes uncle and papaw said they had a bad year if they didnt get 300 for each guy. They had squirrel on the table every day with dinner. That was in KY years ago when they truly lived off the land.

Please add 3 more for Team #1. Left the truck at 4:30 this afternoon and got back at 5:52. It was a small wood lot and had to go REAL slow. Personal total is now an even 50.

WOW, good shooting and hunting. You beat our whole team just by yourself. Looks like you got some hybrids there too.

Yes congrats!
We have had a lot of weekends with crummy weather. We try to get out after deer season a few times but I think only once this year. We definately dont have a great population here in the NW like down south. Oh well, still got time for wabbits.

I finally got to check one of the spots Saturday I had picked out on Glendale to explore as the aerials looked like they were pretty open which usually indicates hardwoods. Instead, it was a super-wide creek bottom with hardly any hardwoods at all. Guess I need to check the topo layer as well as the aerial. Didn't see the first squirrel.
On the otherhand, it may make a good muzzleloader season area as there was a bunch of deer sign.

Well boys, it's over for another year. I hope next year we have a better crop of squirrels, in my area. I also hope I can get out more.
