It certainly changed things. I still think it is for the good.
I would expect changes like contracts no different than pros. The teams have to protect themselves, and if an undervalued player doesn't sign a multi-yr contract, then free agency kicks in.
NIL may very well keep athletes on campus longer. I think TJD stayed an extra year since he was making $ and served both him and IU well. Hope they convince renu, mbako and Ware to do the same.

This whole things seems strange......Wednesday they announce Woodson will be returning then your only recruit decommits. Seems it usually works in reverse, coach leaves or gets fired then recruits decommit. I too wonder who will stay, trying to be optimistic but I am afraid our best will leave. Not sure who would want to transfer in. IMO Ware will certainly leave, hoping Mgbako, Reneau and Galloway stay. Duff I think you may be right on those "tweener" kids as they will make more money with NIL than a late round draft pick and yes it paid dividends for TJD. Speaking of which, he had a heckuva game against Milwaukee, caught highlights and he had 3 blocks and 15 points I think. Wish my crystal ball was a littler clearer! LOL

Purdue fan here but spending some time with my kids and grandkids from Michigan this weekend who are big MSU fans. I'll be pulling for the Hoosiers and give them a hard time if they can beat Sparty.

I know its early but holy cow....IU men on fire.
Indiana State put on a heckuva comeback, down 18 to take the lead for a bit but kinda ran out of steam. I'm afraid they'll be on the short end of the stick for the dance. Still a great season.
