You missed the psychedelic/magic mushrooms. My guess is they fall under "other".

I studied them too much in Botany, their life cycles, spores, etc. I really don't want to consume anything that belongs to a "Subkingdom"

I think butter and gravy are also in that same subkingdom. ;D All three of them are welcome at my table. My cardiologist might not think so.

B) No bread without yeast(fungi) . C) No beer without yeast ! I rest my case ... ;D

I,ve only found 1 Hen-of the woods 'shroom in IN , but found that they rival the big yellow morels in flavor.

I think the blacks are the best eating of them all. Yellows are the most fun to hunt, I mean trip over, excuse me.
