Not really an opinion. Numerous data of radio collared deer have shown that dusk and dawn are the periods of the day that deer most often move.

if your talking daylight hours bigbucks11, hux is right on , but there are a lot of deer moving at night, that why its best not to invade the area you hunt too much , scouting is best done in mid day, when the greatest chance of deer are bedded down and try to stay out of a known bedding area. another option is useing a trail camera...some areas the deer only move during the dark, the rut and post rut changes that greatly, at that time the bucks will be close to the does...during day and night, if your just after bucks you have to pay your dues and stay out there, when folks start hitting deer with there cars is a good indicator, the rut is on and a high deer movement....good luck.....turkey scout

Easy, when I'm not in the stand.

Mostly from dusk til dawn, but during the rut deer move at all times of the day. If at all possible try sitting all day long during the rut.

Magic hour! 1 hour after sun-up and the last hour before sun down. You do get some activity during the day, but it really depends on the property you are hunting and time of year.

During what I call "pink light"..
The sky is just lightening up good in the mornings and in the evenings when the sun gets behind the horizon and all the clouds turn "pink".

Most of the mature deer i've seen on stand, has came between 10:30am-2:30pm.
As far as most movement for the overall herd, would be early and late in the day.

My question would be, do the deer you see at the times stated above just get up an move to your area are were they moving for a while before they got there?

My question would be, do the deer you see at the times stated above just get up an move to your area are were they moving for a while before they got there? For me and where I hunt I would have to say they have been moving for a while. I am hunting between feeding and bedding areas and the fields they feed in are a half mile away. Yesterday morning just before the "pink" time (7:15)I had a very large bodied deer walk by at 15 yards. Only one I saw.
