The corn crops has kept the deer out of my woods for the most part this year. I have seen just a hand full of deer and only one decent buck. I know that things are going to change. It is always hard for a couple of weeks after opening day. Today I was about to get out of my stand and heard a car start honking its horn several times as it passed by. Just then I looked up and here come a nice fat doe and her fawn. I mouth bleated and slowed her down enough to send a 100 grain expandable through her boiler room. She went about 2 yards and dropped. Pre rut is coming and things are bound to get even better. ;D

Congrats on that one. She was better off in the back of your truck than on the hood of that honking car.
