I was asked about the synthetic stock that I bought at Cheaper Than Dirt. This IS a Remington part and the cheapest I have seen on it. Great fit and it shoulders very nice. Hand position feels great too. The recoil pad is MUCH better on this stock than a stock Remington stock. Ambidextrous and has a semi Monte Carlo cheek piece. They have it in black like this and camo.

Nice looking stock. Gotta love those 870s tons of after market parts for them.

Woody, is that a scope rail, or is that a cantilever barrel? I've never seen a cantilever turkey barrel. If it's a mount can you provide some infor about it? Thanks!

Woody, is that a scope rail, or is that a cantilever barrel? I've never seen a cantilever turkey barrel. If it's a mount can you provide some infor about it? Thanks! That is a cantilever that mounts onto the rib of the barrel. Also known as a "rib mount". It is a Remington part.. Part# - 200081 Description - CANTILEVER BAR ASSEM N/S MATTE MSR Price - $51.70 This is my turkey/deer gun. I have two barrels for it. Both have cantilever mounts on them. The deer barrel is a full cantilever and a rifled barrel. This one is cantilever rib mount on a field barrel with a Rhino .660 two inch extended choke. I just swap a barrels as the appropriate seasons come along. With the scope on the barrel they never lose their zero. Works for me...

Anything that soaks up some of the recoil on an 870 is a good thing in my book.

Woody, where did you get your mount? I can't find them online at all!
