Jack,
Do you think this is all show that they are doing for Friend, just in case they need something from him someday??

Jack, Do you think this is all show that they are doing for Friend, just in case they need something from him someday?? My understanding is that IDNR will get up at some point during the hearing and offer some "alternatives" to this bill. The time period for these "alternatives" is 3 years. The committee will think this is a good idea and table the bill effectively killing it for now. I have no idea what these "alternatives" are or what IDNR has in mind. Is this all a political ploy? Probably. Remember that Rep. Friend is one of the 5 most powerful Republicans in the legislature and he usually gets what he wants. We have been effective in stopping him in recent years by getting enough sportsmen to protest against his insane ideas. That much hasn't changed so there will be a number of us at the hearing hoping to get this stopped. Jack

Any ideas on the IDNR "alternatives"?
I wonder if these "alternatives" have to go through the Adminstrative Rules Process or maybe Rob can just do an Emergency Order?

Man it sounds like its time to get our Ideas to the DNR so they can at least see them and mull them over a bit before the Hearing !

Thankfully he is on our side.
